Mya Jackson obtained a bachelor’s degree in psychology at Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis and earned her Juris Doctorate at Indiana University Maurer School of Law. During her undergraduate years, Mya volunteered with the Second Chance Re-Entry Assistance Program, a program that offers services to individuals reintegrating into society after returning from incarceration. While a law student, Mya interned with the Marion County Public Defenders Agency and the Court of Appeals of Indiana. Mya was the executive secretary of the Black Law Students Association, and she volunteered legal assistance for the Indiana Legal Services LGBTQ Project. Prior to joining the firm, Mya’s professional background includes experience in employment law and criminal defense.
